This is meant to be a thorough guide on using Android systems without the official Google Play Services. If you feel anything is missing, you can get in touch with me by email. This guide is focused on multiple ways of going No GApps, including alternative play services (microG), alternative ways of downloading apps from the Play Store, and alternatives to Play Services and the Play Store in general.
Since people will go No GApps for either battery or privacy-related reasons, I will address the privacy-related aspect throughout the guide. If this does not apply to you, feel free to allow your eyes to glaze over the words.
Note: Any steps or options marked with the text "(microG)" only apply or are only available to those running microG as a replacement to the Google Play Services.
This is not a guide on how to install a custom rom onto your Android device. This guide assumes you know how to do that much and is not responsible for any harm caused to your device because you didn't know what you were doing. With this in mind, I recommend that you read it once through before deciding what to do.
